This is a portrait of our dog Sheila. She was a dog of many breeds, and one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. Sheila was intelligent, responsive, and so agile that she could climb trees that were bent down, even at very steep angles. She was blue merle in color, and one of her eyes was half blue and half brown, and the other eye was brown. We rescued her as a tiny puppy who had been abandoned by the side of a deserted road. She was covered in fleas and had intestinal parasites as well, and even as a pup, she was wary of strangers. She grew up to be one of the best dogs we have ever had; we used to call her the "perfect dog". She lived to the age of 14. We still miss her every day.
