"Morning's Chill" is a portrait of Patrick Koyati, a Maasai friend I hike with in the Loita Hills in southwestern Kenya. The inspiration for this piece came one cool morning when I noticed Patrick standing by the campfire wrapped in his Shuka. He doesn't usually carry a spear, but I thought adding it would help complete the piece.
