The Lucky Five
This beautiful fine art oil painting by Gordon Pembridge tells a story of five lucky rhino rescued from
desperate beginnings, due to poached parents. Now released back into the wild after some very dedicated
people worked tirelessly to rear them all from a very young dependent age. Here in the painting The Lucky Five
are depicted in golden evening light as if standing in a defiant, defensive posture, some being courageous
and some being unsure, referencing the ever present pressures on rhino in the wild.
