My first trip to Zimbabwe was an awe inspiring revelation of Africa’s beautiful creatures. My guide patiently showed me multiple species and explained the characteristics of each. He humourously joked to me about the graceful Impala being called the McDonalds of Africa. They have an “M” on their backsides, a dark stripe going down either back leg and meeting on the tail. “They are fast and everybody eats them,” he explained to me. I have long had a fascination with the Cheetah. I had an opportunity to spend close time with a lovely cheetah ambassador named Sylvester. This graceful composition depicts the chase between these beautiful animals in the beautiful yet terrible circle of life.
