I had seen a Hooded Merganser on the small conservation pond just as it turned the corner. We quietly rounded the bend and crept towards the bank to see if it was there in the water. I had my camera  ready. THe sight that greeted me was not a merganser but these two turtles. Trying not to laugh and spook them, I got a unique photo.
