Clients wanted to change the atmosphere of their rec room with the addition of a 50's cocktail lounge. I designed this imaginary room including in the painting,  objects I owned from that era. The mirrors on the bar are smoke coloured and you can see youself reflected in them as you come down the stairs. The tones on the floor of the lounge were changed gradually so that they blended in with the colour of the carpet to enhance the feeling of it being an extension of the room.
