The Kagu is an endemic bird of New Caledonia. On this island there were no predators and it survived without problems but with the introduction of dogs, cats and rats, it has still just managedd to hang on in a few protected areas.

This piece was chosen as part of the AFC show held in Vancouver, BC, 2018 in conjunction with the International Ornithological Congress.
