The Black Skimmer is a shorebird with an unusual knife-thin bill with the lower mandible (bill) longer than the upper mandible. The skimmer uses this unique bill to skim the top of the water in flight, foraging for small fish. I find it's look quite comical. Here I have isolated one Black Skimmer and staged it in an anthropomorphic pose of the average human tourist. A statement of "I was here!".
