The African rhino is one of the most endangered animals on earth. At the time I painted this in the spring of 2014 there were only four Northern White Rhinos remaining in the wild. I wanted the depiction of this powerful animal to speak to the human in us - the one that would spend a day at the spa just because it feels good. Without the help of major conservation efforts around the world there is no hope of saving this species. Let's hope this young adult female lives out her potential 40 years and spends many days at the spa
