Tigers are the largest members of the cat family and have distinct stripe patterns on their face and sides. In the early 1900s, there were about 100,000 tigers throughout their range. Today, only an estimated 3,000 - 4,500 exist in the wild. Tigers are facing major poaching and habitat destruction that have put them on the path to extinction. I had the unique opportunity to travel to India and Nepal to search for and ultimately encounter tigers in the wild. This piece is dedicated to raising awareness about their fight for survival.
