World Wildife Conservation Day

World Wildlife Conservation Day was announced in 2012 by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, four weeks prior during another event held by the State Department: “Wildlife Trafficking and Conservation: A Call to Action”. The annual December 4 date, was was established with a goal to raise awareness globally, and engage conservationists to protect wildlife that is endangered or under threat of extinction from poaching, trafficking or other environmental factors
