AFC members contribute to the conservation mission in many diverse ways. Randall William Bennett works as a professional fine artist as well as owner of Tall Grass Museum Services which has been involved with the design and fabrication of over 75 museum projects that contain something of his artwork: murals, dioramas, sculpture, artifact reproductions, graphics, photography, illustrations, exhibit text writing, and artifact mounts.
Besides working on museum related projects, he works on his personal and conservation artwork in his studio. "I mostly work in a tight realistic painting style although regularly trying new and different styles and media helps me push my own boundaries and improve as an artist. My work for others or through my own company include drawing public attention to the changing climate, assisting in eliminating wildlife poaching, the necessity of preserving endangered species, educating about why conservation is even relevant, etc. My mobile exhibits that teach about soil and water conservation have had an estimated attendance of over 1.5 million visitors so far. I am firmly committed to the belief that conservation is everybody's business because we all share the same planet and breath the same air."
Originally from Kansas, he, and his wife Helen, spent many years moving around the USA, gaining experience in a wide range of activities. This was in addition to the many years spent as a child growing up overseas in countries including north and south India, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, Sri Lanka.
Randall is currently a member of art societies, such as International Guild of Realism, Mid America Pastel Society, Pastel Society of America, National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Artist for Conservation, American Impressionist Society, Missouri Valley Impressionist Society, and is active in more.
