
Antonio Fins is the Politics and TrumpWatch editor at the Palm Beach Post. Most recently, Antonio led efforts to cover the 2018 midterm elections and recounts. He curates a weekly newsletter with 122,0000 statewide subscribers and is a producer of two podcasts, Inside Florida Politics and Real Donald Trump. Antonio got his start in journalism as a correspondent for Business Week magazine in the Miami bureau. In 1996, he joined the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as a senior business writer. In 2002, he was promoted to the editorial board, and became Editorial Page Editor in 2006. On the editorial board, Antonio won awards for opinion writing on the Free Trade Area of the Americas and Cuba policy. He led the team that won three straight Society of News Design first place awards for Outlook, the newspaper's Sunday commentary section.From 2012 to 2015, Antonio served as executive director of the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation where he led conservation and education efforts. His signature achievements included created a network of schools engaged in marine conservation and the Conservation Village concept for public events, including the Tortuga Music festival. Antonio earned his bachelor of arts degree in journalism and political science from the University of Miami. He earned a doctorate in U.S. and international history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
He published his dissertation, "Pan American Paradox: Liberalism and Economic Nationalism in U.S.-Latin American Relations from the Good Neighbor to the Cold War, 1933-1953" in 2009.
