Standing in Nothingness (2015)

$1300 USD
The main focus of my work is the environment and the threatening behavior of humans towards animals and nature generally. Environmental disasters are often hidden from our day-to-day view. They become more visible as the extent of these disasters grows. Endangered animals, industrial environments, abandoned buildings and factories are some of the visible elements I use in my work. In this context, animals are a symbol of a lost life. In my mind these images capture a moment that occurs in the natural world, images from an unseen event and images containing a variety of concepts. I'm not after a direct and clear meaning and if a clear meaning exists, it would highlight the paradox between expanding the industrial activity and preserving the beauty of nature. It makes people think when they see the reality.
