Time to go? (2016)

While in the Maasai Mara in August 2015 for the annual Wildebeest Migration, we saw and photographed a great number of wildlife. Naturally the huge herds of wildebeest were always accompanied by a number of zebras. After another 'failed' attempt by the wildebeest to cross the Mara river, and a lot of dust due to the milling about on the plains above the river, the zebras slowly climbed down the mud bank to have a cautious drink..the crocodiles a real and ever-present threat. Painting zebras at the water is and always will be one of my very favorite subject choices.
