Earth Watch - Encroaching Darkness (2017)

$3500 USD
The Amur Leopard is the most critically endangered of all leopards and is rarely seen in the wild. However, it seems a good news story in conservation is coming from Land of the Leopards National Park in Russia, and even spreading into neighbouring habitat in China, with negotiations beginning to develop a transboundary Sino-Russian Reserve. Leopards are my favourite big cats. The colours, textures, and patterns of their pelts are a delight to paint, and I feel that the medium of colored pencil achieves this so well.
