The Zebra Seahorse (2016)

The natural world has many unusual manifestations, and seeking out the exotic and unusual in both the subject and the medium has resulted in this sculpture. These rare seahorse subjects live only in limited areas of the South Pacific, and have a striped 'zebra' pattern. The medium of myrtlewood used for this piece is rare unto itself, but the tiger or zebra stripe pattern appearing in this wood grain is extremely rare.
