This Barn Owl serves as an ambassador for all wildlife. Whether you are drawn in by its beloved heart-shaped face or its impressive wingspan in silent flight, you are sure to make a real connection and be left with an indelible memory. Living birds and animals have a universal draw for people of all ages, especially children. This is why educational programs in zoos and museums are so valuable to conservation. For many the only contact they have with nature is viewed on TV or a monitor screen of some kind. There are some great educational publications and programs out there but when people want first-hand knowledge they turn to zoos and educational venues.
