Young Beaver (2015)

A young beaver drifts, chomping on a sprig of aspen and fattening himself up for the harsh winter ahead. Unpolluted waterways are essential for his health, his environment and the creatures who share it. If he survives to adulthood, he will play a critical role in a healthy ecosystem. He will build dams that cause streams to flood creating ponds and wetland areas. These areas created by the beaver provide needed habitat for a myriad of species including songbirds, waterfowl, fish, amphibians, aquatic animals…the list goes on. For now, he is just a little prince of the pond.
