Spirit of the Night (2015)

In the night sky the silently flying owl, also called night eagle, can see that which others cannot. Is it a wonder that the owl in many cultures is a symbol for wisdom and guidance of the spirit? They are known to often bring messages through dreams, bringing a deep mystical wisdom and serving as a carrier of ancient knowledge. Can we call upon the owl to help us gain a deeper inner vision to uncover truth? Are we ready to integrate unwanted hidden aspects of our shadows into light? Currently there are some species of owls that are threatened at this point in time and may not be able to survive much longer. We can no longer ignore their fate just because we rarely see them due to their nocturnal nature. I have the personal experience of hearing the calls of the owl at night during spring courtship. The echo of their voice has a quality of peace and serenity hard to deny.
