At the Temple (2014)

In the early Spring, you see a lot of American Avocets with their pastel blue legs. They wade the shallows of the various sloughs, hunting for grubs and bugs. This scene, with the dead cattail reeds, looked like the bird was praying at a temple. So, the name. They are elegant birds and the colours all blended well.
