Cockle shell with barnacles in the shallows
24.00 x 36.00 (inches)

In the shallow waters and on the beaches of Florida's Gulf Coast, beautiful shells abound, the remains of a multitude of species. Although the cockle shell's original inhabitant is long gone, the cycle of life continues as barnacles make it their home.
