Patti Wilson and Maria Ryan in New Book on Wildelife Art


Two WWNAG artists are featured in a new book "Wildelife Art: 60 Contemporary Masters and Their Work" by Joan M Pursley.
Patti Wilson ( www.natureartists.com/wilsonp.htm ) and Maria Ryan ( www.natureartists.com/ryanm.htm ) are included in the book.

The book features over 150 color photos of artwork in various media with an introduction to the history and current state of wildlife art. The book has received very positive reviews including one in Inform Art Magazine.
It can be purchased on the site of Wildelife Art magazine for $29.95. (See link at left)

Besse and Kitler chosen for Birds in Art National Tour


David Kitler and Linda Besse, both members of the World Wide Nature Artists' Group, have the added honor of having work selected for The Birds in Art National Tour. David's "Brazilian Blue & Gold" and Linda Besse's "Among Giants" will tour various prestigious venues among a total of 60 works of art. In its 26th year, Birds in Art is one of the most prestigious show in the world for bird art.

WWNA Group member has recently completed and published a new calendar featuring six gamefish including Rainbow trout, Cutthroat, Brook trout, and Lake trout as well as the Coho and Chinook salmon.

Joan Sharrock's tigers featured in the Exxon calendar


The 2002 Exxon calendar features images of tigers supplied by Vancouver artist Joan Sharrock who specializes in paintings of big cats. This is the third calendar for Exxon featuring Joan's artwork. Previously the calendar, produced by Teldon Calendars, was made up of tiger photographs. A fortuitous connection in 1998 brought Joan's artwork to the calendar company's attention and her many tiger paintings were sufficient for the 1999 and 2001 calendars.

Art For Animals Raising Money For Animals

This years second annual Art For Animals Show is scheduled for September 22nd and 23rd of 2001 in Trenton Ontario Canada. Again 15 of Canada's finest wildlife artist will gather under one roof. The event is being organized on behalf of the Quinte Humane Society to raise much-needed funds for abandoned and abused animals, Wildlife artist Doug Comeau says. David N. Kitler among artists selected for prestigious LEIGH YAWKEY


In its 26th year, Birds in Art is one of the most prestigious show in the world for bird art. David Kitler, a member of the World Wide Nature Artists Group, feels greatly honoured that his "Brazilian Blue & Gold" piece has been selected to be a part of this year's exhibition. David's paintings are like pages in a journal, and this piece is a typical example. His selected artwork follows from a recent trip to South America, David wanted to capture the textures, the colours, and the warmth he observed everywhere.

WWNAG Members Invited to Spanish Conservation Project


Two members of the WWNAG, Andrea Rich and Dag Peterson, have been invited to participate with Artists for Nature Foundation (ANF) on their newest project in Spain. The project will be in support of the conservation of the Pyrenees Mature Forests and is being hosted by the 'Territori i Paisatge' foundation.
