Linda Besse Again at Leigh Yawkey


Linda Besse is another WWNAG member to have been selected again for Birds in Art 2002 at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum.

The title of the orignal oil painting is Roseate and measures 19.25" X 23.75". It is of a Roseate Spoonbill, native to the southeastern US, especially Florida.

Dean Richards selected for Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit


2002 Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit is the fifth
biennial exhibit hosted by the Ohio Valley Art League and the Kentucky
Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. Dean Richards, a member of the
World Wide Nature Artists Group has been selected from hundreds of
submissions to be part of this years show and sale.His charcoal and
graphite drawings entitled
" Crossing the Firehole - Bison " and " Arrival - Osprey " will be among 72
juried pieces on display.

The purpose of the exhibit is to increase awareness for the preservation of

Andrea Rich shares her secrets of woodblock printing at Yellowstone.


The Yellowstone Association Institute is putting on a number of courses this summer at the Yellowstone National Park. Andrea Rich, a WWNAG member since inception, will be giving a course in woodblock printing at Old Faithful between August 30 and Sept 2. 2002. On the first day participants will draw from the park

Diane Burns Selected Again for Birds in Art


Diane Burns, a WWNAG member, is selected again for the Leigh, Yawkey, Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin. A number of WWNAG members have participated in this top exhibition.

Diane's batik "Mirror, mirror in the lake" a brown pelican and reflection, was selected for the Birds In Art, 2002
exhibition held in Wausau Wisconsin, opening on
Sept. 7th of this year.

Dean Richards Part of Art of the Animal Kingdom VII


Art of the Animal Kingdom VII has quickly established
itself as a premier international exhibit for animal artists. Dean Richards,
a member of the World Wide Nature Artists Group has been selected from an
unprecedented number of submissions to be part of this years show and sale.
His selected charcoal and graphite drawing entitled " Great Pied Hornbills "
is a fine example of his exotic bird portraiture. The piece focuses on
composition, texture and light to breath life into the regal pose of these
magnificent birds.
