Vancouver, B.C., CANADA -- April 18, 2013- Artists for Conservation (AFC) announced today its 14th fellowship, a grant in the amount of $5,000 US, awarded to American wildlife artist Patricia Latas of Tucson, Arizona. The fellowship is part of the AFC Flag Expeditions Program, which supports up to two artists per year in their filed work, studying and rendering endangered species or habitats that deserve greater public attention, particularly in remote parts of the world.

Windows on Evolution, Science -Art -Nature 3rd Virtual Exhibit

The work of 40 artists allows viewers to peer into the process of evolution. Read the image captions, check the exhibit commentaries, see which of these examples of Science Art won an award, hear some music with lyrics based on Darwin's words, and leave your reactions.

Artists for Conservation Festival Returns to Vancouver, British Columbia for 2013
Third Annual AFC Festival of Art and Environmental Education to open September 28

Vancouver, BC., CANADA - February 15, 2013 - Artists for Conservation (AFC) is pleased to announce, following the success of its second AFC Festival in October 2012, that the signature event will return to Vancouver in 2013. The 3rd AFC festival will take place from September 28 through October 6th, at Grouse Mountain Resort in North Vancouver, BC. Most significantly, the event returns at an earlier date, during peak season, when weather is more likely to show off the natural spectacle of the venue.

Susan Lees Painting Raises $7000 for Wildlife Conservation

Susan Lees painting -Maximus- raises £5,200  for wildlife conservation projects.   She was commissioned at the end of 2012 to come up with an Olympic themed design which she then painted onto a ready-made fibre glass gorilla sculpture that stood approximately two and a half feet tall.  This was one of the surplus sculptures (available for schools) left over from the WOW!Gorilla art trail and auction event in Bristol, UK during the summer and autumn of 2011. The sculptures painted for the actual art trail and auction stood approximately five feet high)

Jammer Paintings for Ducks Unlimited 2013 National Sponsor Prints

Each year, DUC presents a National Sponsor Recognition package... a collection of exclusive products offered to DUC supporters to thank them for their generous and much-needed support. For 2013, only two images were selected to be a part of this program — both of them created by self-taught wildlife and nature artist Clinton Jammer.
