African Wildlife Trust to Host International Artists Retreat To Combat Poaching

African Wildlife Trust, in conjunction with Safari Legacy, will host an international group of artists retreat from October 22-November 2, 2013 in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania.

This retreat aims to raise awareness and funds to combat the international poaching crisis, particularly in hard-hit Tanzania, where tens of thousands of elephants are slaughtered annually.

Conservation Experts Lead Discussions at First Annual BC Conservation Symposium

Vancouver, BC CANADA - July 24th, 2013 - Artists for Conservation, world's leading group of artists supporting the environment, announced today the first British Columbia Conservation Symposium on October 3, 2013 during AFC's annual festival. Leading experts from BC-based conservation organizations will gather at Grouse Mountain to offer their perspectives on the state of wildlife and habitat conservation in British Columbia. The symposium will feature talks from executives and a panel discussion.

Spera's Artwork Chosen for AFC's 2013 Exhibit Book

Vancouver, BC CANADA - July 22nd, 2013 - Artists for Conservation is pleased to announce that Edward Spera's "Generations" painting has been selected for the cover of the 2013 Artists for Conservation exhibit book. The annual hardcover "coffee-table" book is published on sustainably forested paper, as a companion to the 6th annual AFC Exhibit, showing in North Vancouver, BC running September 27 thorough to October 6th. The image will be on display in AFC's virtual online exhibit this fall.

Carrie Cooks "Net Loss" Chosen for AFC 2014 Environmental Calendar Cover

Vancouver, BC CANADA - July 19, 2013 - Artists for Conservation is pleased to announce that Signature AFC Member, Carrie Cook's painting "Net Loss" has been selected for the cover of the 2014 Environmental Calendar. In addition to highlighting statutory and religious holidays, the calendar also uniquely highlights a wide range of international environmental-themed days and weeks. Artists Flock to Grouse Mountain to Paint Live Birds of Prey at Third Artists for Conservation Festival on Grouse Mountain

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(July 17, 2013) - Watch some of the world's top nature and wildlife artists sketch live birds of prey at the opening gala for the third annual Artists for Conservation Festival on Grouse Mountain. The original art pieces will be auctioned off with proceeds directly supporting Artists for Conservation's charitable year-round programming. Art, Nature & Conservation Celebration Returns with Robert Bateman
