Northwest Passage Revisited by Artists 100 Years Later

Arctic Quest celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first successful crossing of Canada's Northwest Passage by explorer, Roald Amundsen with an artists expedition and exhibition. Linda Mackey, WNAG, is Director of thwe event. WNAG members Paul Gautier and RoseMarie Condon will also be there.

Life-size African Bull Elephant Oil Painting Sold

Richard sells his life-size oil painting of an African bull elephant called "TEMBO" with a donation of $45.000 from part of the sale going directly to the Born Free Foundation.

Pickering Print Raises $6800 for Compassion in World Farming

Pollyanna was thrilled when one of her tiger canvases 'Cool Waters' raised $6800.00 at a glittering event attending by celebrities including Angela Rippon. The unique giclee print of a swimming tiger was created especially for their gala dinner, and this image will never again be reproduced on canvas.

Hughbanks Pony Wins Contemporary Culture Award

Debbie Hughbanks' pony, "Kindred Spirits" was originally selected as a winner from over 400 submissions by a select group of judges, including the editor of Southwest Art Magazine. Her submission, "Kindred Spirits" is a colorful representation of animals revered for their attributes in Native American cultures. Her winning piece is adorned with bison, grizzly bears, salmon, a bald eagle, wolf and a small mouse, and has now been placed for purchase to benefit various nonprofit organizations supported by The Trail of Painted Ponies.

Frans Lanting Artwork Supports Art for Africa

World-renowned wildlife photographer Frans Lanting has generously provided a professional photograph of a cheetah mother and cub to the Art for Africa project.

Frans Lanting has been hailed as one of the great nature photographers of our time. His influential work appears in books, magazines, and exhibitions around the world. For more than two decades he has documented wildlife and our relationship with nature in environments from the Amazon to Antarctica.
