America's Oldest Sculpture Garden Honors Leo Osborne
2016/01/05 - AFC sculptor Leo Osborne was recently honored with the acceptance of his life-sized Whistling Saint Francis into Brookgreen Gardens famed outdoor sculpture garden in Pawley, South Carolina . A major acquisition fundraising campaign is underway to see the honor to fruition.

New Seerey-Lester Book Launched
2015/12/29 - Last month, the much-anticipated third book in artist John Seerey-Lester’s “Legends Series” was released, replete with stories and 150 paintings and sketches. In it, John helps the reader relive in words and paint the extraordinary outdoor life of US President and conservation pioneer, Theodore Roosevelt. As both a master painter and compelling writer, Seerey-Lester provides a fascinating glimpse into the former president’s life as a rancher and his unrelenting passion for wildlife, hunting, exploration, and conservation.

New Banovich Art Center Opens
2015/12/06 - After nearly 5 years in the making, internationally renowned artist and conservationist, John Banovich has opened a new institution on the wildlife art landscape. The new 6500 square foot Art Center is located in Paradise Valley, Montana - one of the most naturally beautiful and dramatic areas of the US - 11 miles south of Livingston and 45 minutes from Yellowstone National Park.

2015 Festival Review
2015/12/02 - This September, AFC wrapped up its 5th annual Artists for Conservation Festival - the longest and most ambitious one yet, spanning two major venues and three weekends and incorporating an Art Expo for the first time. The event welcomed public of all ages with a variety of interests - fine art, environment and conservation.

Rhino Painting Goes Global
2015/11/10 - In 2015, Australian artist Paula Wiegmink created a painting "Tears of the Rhino". The powerful image has since been signed by international celebrities and some of the world's leading conservationists including Sir David Attenborough, Dr. Jane Goodall, Virginia McKenna, Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick, action star Jean-Claude Van Damme and Queen rock star Brian May, among others. In a few short months, the image is becoming a creative petition to stop the poaching of endangered rhinos.

Becci Crowe’s Journey to the Congo with Dr. Jane Goodall
2015/08/04 - Dr. Jane Goodall, the Republic of Congo, a place called Tchimpounga and orphan chimpanzees... I've just experienced it all and returned with a new understanding of the gravity of challenges to this wild place and the animals struggling to survive. As an artist active in conservation it's as important for me to be in the field as it is in my studio. Observing wildlife in the wild and bearing witness to their challenges not only inspires the art I create but enables me to tell the story through my presentations as well as my images.
