Susan Lees Painting Raises $7000 for Wildlife Conservation

Susan Lees painting -Maximus- raises £5,200  for wildlife conservation projects.   She was commissioned at the end of 2012 to come up with an Olympic themed design which she then painted onto a ready-made fibre glass gorilla sculpture that stood approximately two and a half feet tall.  This was one of the surplus sculptures (available for schools) left over from the WOW!Gorilla art trail and auction event in Bristol, UK during the summer and autumn of 2011. The sculptures painted for the actual art trail and auction stood approximately five feet high)

Jammer Paintings for Ducks Unlimited 2013 National Sponsor Prints

Each year, DUC presents a National Sponsor Recognition package... a collection of exclusive products offered to DUC supporters to thank them for their generous and much-needed support. For 2013, only two images were selected to be a part of this program — both of them created by self-taught wildlife and nature artist Clinton Jammer.

Renso Tamse New Book - Wild in Europe

Dutch artist Renso Tamse is a young master of realistic style of watercolor. This book is a collection of paintings and sketches of wildlife encountered during his travels in Europe. Showing an impressive ammount of 70 paintings and 90 drawings and studies. He tells about used materials, his inspiration and his adventures. Species covered include birds and mammals, from mute swan to brown bear and from birds of pray to ermines, all within their secretive haunts.

Dumas Wins at the Bruno Capolongo Invitational

First Born, a painting by Michael Dumas depicting a mother mourning dove and one of her young has won Best of Show by Peoples Choice at The Bruno Capolongo Invitational held at the Hamilton Conservancy for the Arts Gallery.

Terry Mathews New Book

Those interested in Africa and the life of a wildlife sculptorwill enjoy the just released book by Terry Mathews -"The Woodpecker calls on the right." If you wonder about the title you need to read the title page that explains the belief in some quarters that if you head out on a hunt and hear the woodpecker on your right it is going to be a successful hunt whereas if the call is on the left you had best stay home.

Brenda Johnson's "Caribean Cruiser" an Award Winner

Brenda D. Johnson received the "Excellence Award” given in recognition of exceptional artistic merit for her original painting, “Caribbean Cruiser" at the  Annual Nature Works Fine Art Exhibition and Sale at Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center March 5th & 6th.
