11/26 - Great sleep and shower this morning... Not only was it HOT, but it came out of the showerhead in more than a dribble. Today is a big day. We'll be travelling across the Rwanda-DRC border to Goma to spend the night. Tomorrow we climb Mount Mikeno.

This morning we visited MGVP's Kinigi gorilla rehabilitation centre to video and photograph orphaned gorillas, with one of MGVP's veterinarians, Magdalena. A very enlightening experience, and fascinating to learn about the personalities, dynamics and politics of a group of gorillas. Only a handful of non-staff have had the opportunity to see what we saw today... We feel very privileged.

We're in a hurry to rendez-vous with the rest of DRC team at MGVP headquarters.   - Jeff
