Alison Nicholls Releases First Book

"Art Inspired by Africa: An Artist Visits the African People & Wildlife Fund" is the first in a series of planned books by AFC Flag Expedition Fellow, Alison Nicholls.

Included are full-page images of her field sketches and studio paintings, all accompanied by personal notes or journal excerpts. The foreword is by Dr. Laly Lichtenfeld, African People & Wildlife Fund (APW) Executive Director and other APW staff have also contributed to the book. Photographs and text explain specific APW programs on the Maasai Steppe, and show Alison's drawing classes, and the Loibor Siret village exhibit and school mural. The 46-page book is printed on full-color premium lustre paper, in a softcover 8×10″ landscape format.

Signed copies are available until April 30, 2015 for $35 USD. After this date the book will be available on for a higher price. Visit Alison's book page for more information. Alison has pledged to donate a portion of proceeds to APW for every book sold.
